Picking Passwords

Seems like everywhere you go online, you have to create a new password. Here are a few tips:

* Never use your own name as your password. Your name is way too obvious, and you'd be shocked at how many people do this. Or they'll use their middle name, the name of their wife, children, or some other name that's just as easy for someone who knows them to guess.

* Never pick a password that naturally follows from your user name. For instance, if you user name is "ham," don't pick "eggs" for your password.

* Try to always use a mix of numbers and letters. If you just use a plain word for your password, someone else can figure it out more easily.
